State of the Community
Topeka Mayor Bill Bunten and Shawnee County Commissioner Shelly Buhler presented their report of governmental activities in 2010 and their visions for 2011 at the first ever State of the Community Event Tuesday, April 26, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 1717 SW Topeka Boulevard.
“Despite tough economic times, our county and city governments accomplished many projects during 2010 and the community continues to benefit from their diligent efforts to improve efficiencies and service delivery to the citizens of Shawnee County,” said Doug Kinsinger, Chamber president & CEO. “We were pleased to offer this forum for our governmental leaders to share their story.”
